Young Writers' Program
Black Swan’s Young Writers’ Program was launched in 2009 in order to encourage and develop playwrights from Western Australia. From 2009 to 2011, playwrights in their first five years of professional practice were accepted into the group. The Young Writers' Program continues in 2012 with Adam Mitchell, Director of the Young Writers' Program working with the playwrights on building skills and play development, and the playwrights contributed to our literary department by reading and analysing work for the Company.
The Young Writers’ Program is a rigorous meeting of intellect and creativity and we look forward to seeing their work developed and appearing on our stages in the future.
