Playhouse Theatre - 3 Pier Street, Perth

Parking at the Playhouse Theatre

Undercover parking is available for theatre patrons in the Law Chambers Carpark. Access to the carpark is via the laneway running off Pier St along the right hand side of the theatre. This carpark is only open for evening performances from 5.30pm to 11.30pm and for Sunday performances from 3.30pm to 8.30pm. The cost per vehicle is $6.00. Patrons should check their tickets for confirmation of carpark hours. Other carparks are located nearby on Pier St, Hay St, Irwin St and Wellington St (see map).

Facilities For People With Disabilities

The Playhouse is accessible to patrons with impaired mobility. There are ACROD parking bays located in the Law Chambers Carpark next to the theatre. An infrared hearing system for deaf & hearing impaired patrons is available. An Audio Description service for blind or vision impaired patrons is also offered for certain performances. It is recommended that patrons with special requirements state their needs when booking their tickets.

Public Transport to the Playhouse Theatre

The Playhouse Theatre is located on the main Perth city bus routes along St Georges Terrace, and nearby Barrack Street. The free Central Area Transport RED CAT route includes a stop near the Playhouse Theatre on Hay Street and also Murray Street. The RED CAT operates every five minutes from 6.50am-6.20pm Monday to Friday (except Public Holidays), and every 25 minutes on the weekends between 10am and 6.15pm. Perth Railway Station is just a five minute walk from the theatre.

Licensed Bar and Function Facilities

The theatre’s bar located on the first floor is open one hour prior to and after every performance. Complimentary use of the Playhouse’s function room is available to groups wishing to use the services of the theatre’s award-winning caterers.
